The blogs you're reading and hopefully enjoying take time out of our authors' day. From doing research, reading articles, vetting sources, and grabbing screen shots, links, and other tasks, you can bet we're doing a heck of a lot of work, for nothing. So any time you donate to the Volcano Science and News Blog, we will bow five times in your name before Pele, Goddess of Hawaiian Volcanoes... well, maybe not... flying to Hawaii is expensive, and that's quite a hike to the summit of Mauna Loa... How about this. Every time you donate a buck, or click on one of my sponsors ads, I will personally ensure that that money goes toward better reporting for your reading pleasure.
There are a lot of expenses to bringing this type of news to your computer screen, such as: Computer hardware and software, electricity to run the machines, travel expenses, time (which is money, as we all know!), books (yes, I still read and purchase them), and other things that make your wallet cry.
So if you're feeling frisky, please do click on the Google Donate button on the right side of your screen, or at the bottom of my blog. Your donation will be secure and encrypted, with a digital receipt mailed to you.
Thank you again for considering to donate to better geology journalism!
